Rules relaxed for pensioners

The Haryana government has decided to allow its pensioners to carry forward the facility of one month's pension as travel concession to December 31 if they have not utilised it during the block of four years from 2008-2011.

The Haryana government has decided to allow its pensioners to carry forward the facility of one month's pension as travel concession to December 31 if they have not utilised it during the block of four years from 2008-2011.

An official spokesman on Sunday said that one month's pension as travel concession for visiting any place in the country was admissible to the state government's pensioners in a block of four years.

He said that the first block was 2008-11 and subsequent blocks would be 2012-15, 2016-19 and 2020-23. In case pensioners did not utilise this facility during the first block of four years, they could do so in the first year of the next block of four years up to December 31.
