Speeding pvt bus runs over 7-yr-old in Gurgaon
A seven-year-old boy, who was on his way to school, was killed on Tuesday morning after a speeding private bus hit him while he was crossing a road near Gadoli village in Sector 10 on Tuesday morning.

The bus was carrying employees of a corporate firm. The bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot, the police said.
The deceased was identified as Robin Kumar, a native of Madhyapura in Bihar. He lived with his parents and two sisters in Chahal Colony in Gadoli village, Gurgaon. He was a nursery student of a government school in Gadoli village.
Witnesses said that the passengers of the bus did not respond to the situation.
“The accident happened around 8am when the boy was crossing a road near Chahal Colony. The bus hit him from behind and he died on the spot,” an eyewitness said.
Villages rushed Kumar to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Robin’s father Shambhu Singh, who works as an electrician in a private company said, “My son was loved by all. It seems that the bus driver failed to apply the brakes and ran over my son. He should be arrested and put behind the bars.”
As news of the accident spread, villagers blocked the road and demanded compensation for the boy’s family. They did not disperse until the police personnel from the Sector 10A police station reached the spot and assured that appropriate action would be taken.
According to the police, the agitated villagers broke the windows of the bus and were about to set it ablaze when they reached the spot.
“A private bus hit the boy from behind and ran over him. We have identified the driver and his name is Danvir Singh. The executives on the bus were from a private company in Manesar,” ACP(Crime) Hawa Singh, said.
Nayab tehsildar of the district administration Om Prakash reached the spot and announced `1 lakh compensation for the family.
