Swine flu toll rises to 10 in state, 68 cases reported so far

The death toll of the swine flu has risen to 10 with two more death reported in the past few days. The officials said though most of the cases were reported from private hospitals, the government had directed them to keep a record of all the patients coming to the hospitals with symptoms of the disease.

The death toll of the swine flu has risen to 10 with two more death reported in the past few days.

With this, as many as 68 positive swine flu cases had been reported as of now.

According to information, the deceased have been identified as Rekha and Satish Kumar.

Rekha, 26, a resident of Rewari, died of swine flu at PGI, Rohtak on Wednesday night. Satish Kumar of Karnal, died at PGIMER, Chandigarh on Tuesday.

To keep a check on the rising cases of swine flu, chief secretary D S Dhesi reviewed measures taken by the health department and directed it to be more vigilant.

Officials said that as many as 68 positive cases of H1N1 virus had been reported so far, while the 10 patients had died in Haryana.
