The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has also asked them to frame modalities for collection of funds from buyers and utilisation of the same for the Greenopolis project. Developers Orris Infrastructure and Three C Shelters Private Limited have been asked to submit a document in this regard to the department.

The direction comes after a meeting was held at the project site in Sector 89 between officials of DTCP and over 200 aggrieved apartment buyers, who had complained about the delay in delivery.

The Greenopolis project is a group housing society on 47 acres. It was launched in 2012 and the project was to be delivered in 2016.

“We were receiving around 10 complaints daily from buyers of Greenopolis regarding the delay in delivery. A meeting was held at the site and site inspection of the project done. The developers have been asked to submit timelines for the three phases and they will be asked to ensure delivery within the promised time frame,” said RS Bhath, district town planner. Apart from that, the authority will be looking into a 24-metre road construction to provide connectivity to the project.

“We had earlier asked them to submit the details of external and internal development charges collected from buyers. The issue of road connectivity will also be resolved on the basis of adjoining licences,” said Jaivir Sharma, planning officer.

A majority of buyers alleged that they have paid 90% of the total price of their apartment but work is yet to be finished. They alleged that complaints have been made at the allottees grievance redressal forum and the CM window but no action was taken.

Kapil Sharma, general manager, Orris, said they have assured buyers and DTCP officials that project will be completed within the timelines. “The work on the project has resumed. The construction work was delayed as work was allotted to another company. It has now been restarted,” he said.
