Daily meal plan


8-12 servings of fruits and vegetables


6-10 servings of whole grains


140-255 g of protein-rich foods


3 servings of low-fat dairy products


3-7 teaspoons of healthy fat



Weight-control tips


Eat only 100 to 300 extra calories a day


Have regular meals and small, healthy snacks; go easy on sweets and keep fats to less than 30 per cent of calories
