For those luscious lips
If you thought applying a lipstick is no rocket science, and doesn’t require any guidelines, paying heed to expert advice may do you some good.
If you thought applying a lipstick is no rocket science, and doesn’t require any guidelines, paying heed to expert advice may do you some good.
“Applying a lipstick is an art. Always dab foundation on your lips before applying lipstick. Put gloss as it will keep your lips moisturised,” says Seema Malik of Xpressions, a city-based salon. Beauty experts say men no longer drool over actress Angelina Jolie’s pout.
“Women wanted to apply lipstick in a way that their lips look pouty. But that was last year,” says Dinaz of Shiseido. “One should now apply liner of the same colour on the edge of the lipstick to give the lips a thin, streamlined look.”
Here are a few pointers.
Always apply lipstick with a lip brush.
Opt for long-lasting lipsticks as they can stay for as long as 16 hours.
If your lips become dry, then instead of foundation, fill the lips with liner first and then apply lipstick.
If you’re using light lipstick, couple it with a nude liner.
