While we have ample information on how to get our make-up done just right, tips to take them off in the right way are quite limited.

Although there are several products in the market that cater to removing specific kinds of make-up (eye make-up, foundation, glitter etc.), some natural products like coconut oil can be safely used as an all purpose make-up remover or cleanser.

Dr. Raina Nahar, MD, a dermatologist and cosmetologist practising at Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, suggests the following natural ways to remove make-up:

1.Baking soda scrub

Add baking soda to raw honey and a few drops of coconut oil and whip it into a paste, apply with warm washcloth.

2.Oil cleansers

Add equal portions of jojoba oil and vitamin E oil (tocopherol) or add a tablespoon of almond oil to a bowl of raw milk to make cleansers.

Avocado oil and coconut oil by themselves can be used to remove make-up. However, they should be used carefully by those having skin disorders or acne prone skin.

3.Beeswax jelly
