Summer cool
Yes, it’s awfully hot, but here are a few deals to help you beat the heat, write Malvika Nanda and Ruchira Hoon.
Question: What’s cruel, scathing and too hot to handle? The Delhi summer, of course. It’s that time of the year again, and again, when you can barely bring yourself to crawl out of your home, let alone head out for food and entertainment.

However even the cloudless summer has a silver lining. Restaurants, hotels and pubs are dishing out special offers this sweltering May to entice customers.
A lot of it is summer menus that focus on light eats. According to Bill Marchetti, head chef of Spaghetti Kitchen, summer specials should consist of light and easily-digestible food that are healthy on the palate. “Presentation is key. The more the colours in the summer, the more appealing it is to eat,” he says. “And keep the salt levels down to feel refreshed.”
Apart from food, there’s cocktails and mocktails that cool. And also summery entertainment options, most of which revolve around the pool.
Pool parties are on. So is pool volleyball, for the more sporty.
Check out the options. They might help to make Delhi’s summer more tolerable.
