Actor Jessica Alba, 31, who was given the lead role on Fox’s Dark Angel when she was in her teenage, says she felt objectified as a young actress. She was forced to wear raunchy outfits in order to appeal to the show’s predominantly male audience, reported Us magazine.
“I had a show that premiered when I was 19. I was supposed to be sexy. That’s what people expected,” says Alba, adding that even when she dressed demurely for events, her body took center stage. “It made me uncomfortable. I wanted to be chic and elegant!,” she says.
