Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway says she would like to play Duchess Catherine in a film on her life. The 28-year-old is a big fan of the newest member of the British royal family and would happily portray her in a biopic.

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway says she would like to play Duchess Catherine in a film on her life. The 28-year-old is a big fan of the newest member of the British royal family, who married Prince William in April and would happily portray her in a biopic, reported Contactmusic.

"I haven't really thought about it before but yes, why not. She's great," said Hathaway. The Devil Wears Prada actress has previously spoken of her admiration for Catherine.

"The moment for me was when Kate let go of her father's hand and she walked the last few feet to William. I was hanging out with my friend Chris, in London, and I didn't mean to say it out loud, but I just went, Oh, you're a brave girl.

"I looked at him, and all of a sudden, I'm like, Marriage is such a brave thing. I was texting with my mom the whole time, and she says, Gee, it's such a fairy tale, and I thought that marrying your best friend is really the new fairy tale, even if he happens to be a prince. I just thought, That's it. You marry your best friend. That's the new fairy tale," Hathaway said.
