Australian star Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor in the superhero film of the same name, is once again bagging praise for reprising his role as the Norse god of thunder in The Avengers. This comes just at the time when he has releases including The Cabin in the Woods, Snow White and the Huntsman, Red Dawn, Thor 2 and Rush coming up.

It sounds like a superhuman workload, but Cabin in the Woods and Red Dawn were signed by Hemsworth before he shot to stardom with Thor. The two releases were delayed for years because of MGM’s bankruptcy, leaving the 28-year-old actor a little edgy about how those performances will appear to the audience.

“To go back three years, I sort of cringe at the thought of what I did then as opposed to now,” says Hemsworth, adding, “But you have no control over that. That’s the nature of the business. I’m proud of all of those films and had a great time making them, and they all are, in a way, pieces of the puzzle that got me to where I am now.”

The middle brother of actors Luke and Liam Hemsworth, he is in no mood to leave his part as Thor. Talking about his much-talked about film, The Avengers, he says, “That’s a lot of superhero ego in one room.”
