Film trailer: Salmon Fishing In The Yemen
The first trailer for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, costarring Ewan McGregor (The Ghost Writer) and Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau), was released December 18.
Based on the novel by Paul Torday, the film tells the story of a fisheries expert, initially reluctant to realize a sheik's improbable vision of bringing fly-fishing to the desert, who is convinced to take on the project by the British Prime Minister's press secretary.
The footage shows the unlikely connection between the fishing expert and the sheik sharing an appreciation of the qualities of fishing, and the charming exchanges with the publicity consultant as they try to establish salmon fishing in the Highlands of Yemen.
Directed by Lasse Hallström (Cider House Rules, Chocolat), the film also stars Kristin Scott Thomas (Sarah's Key) and Amr Waked (Contagion).
The romantic comedy opens in theaters the week of March 9 in North America and the United Kingdom and rolls out in Sweden, Australia, Germany and other markets in April and May.
