According to the site Zap2it, James Franco is to put in a cameo appearance as himself.
To the delight of Veronica Mars fans, Franco is going to be the victim of a scam. Someone's been concealing cameras in celeb homes to sell the video footage for sizeable sums. But such goings-on can't escape the sleuthing eye of Veronica Mars.
Veronica Mars is to be produced on donations from the general public via Kickstarter.com. The creator of the series, Rob Thomas, and his Veronica Mars (Kirsten Bell) succeeded in raising enough funds to cover their budget in the space of less than 12 hours.
The movie is slated for release in 2014.
