Jeremy Renner and Julianne Moore will both join the cast of Imagine, starring Al Pacino as an aging rockstar who decides to turn his life around, Deadline.com reports.
The story focuses on a 60-something rocker who discovers a long-unopened letter written to him by John Lennon that inspires him to find the son he has never met. Renner (The Bourne Legacy) will replace Steve Carell, who was previously set to play the son but had a scheduling conflict. Julianne Moore is joining the cast in the role of a hotel manager.
The screenplay is written by Dan Fogelman (Tangled Cars), who will also make his directorial debut. Shooting will start next April.
