In a freaky resemblance to reality, Katie Holmes has been cast in a film about a single mother who brings up a daughter on her own. The development comes soon after Holmes filed for divorce against Tom Cruise, seeking sole custody of their daughter Suri.
What's interesting is that Holmes is not only starring in the film Molly but has also co-written it. We now know where she got the inspiration from. The film has got the green signal and production will begin next week, according to People.com.
Filming on Molly will last until August and be shot in New York City, where Katie moved into a three bedroom in June with her daughter.
After finishing Molly, Holmes is expected to shoot Responsible Adults, a romantic comedy about a young man, played by Chace Crawford, who discovers his crush was actually once his babysitter 15 years earlier, Daily Mail reported.
