The 44-year-old Oscar-winner turns up the raunch factor and channels the spirit of Sharon Stone for the sexual thriller The Paperboy.

In new stills released by the film’s producers, Kidman is tanned and trashy, wearing a blonde wig, short dress with the bra straps clearly showing.

One scene in particular will remind cinema-goers why Kidman was such hot property during the Nineties – she leans forward on a chair and opens her long legs, much as Stone did in Basic Instinct.

Efron says his sex scenes with Kidman are the highlight of his life so far.

“Nicole is so gorgeous,” News.com.au quoted him as telling a UK morning show.

“It was everything you dreamed of. She was such a lovely person. I pinched myself every day, especially after doing love scenes with Nicole Kidman.

“It was the highlight of my life.

“Nicole was something else and was always in character. She didn’t get weird method, like some actors do, but I have never seen anyone so centred,” he said.

‘The Paperboy’, which is directed by Lee Daniels, who was nominated for an Oscar for his film ‘Precious’, also stars Matthew McConaughey and John Cusack.

The story, which is based on a crime novel of the same name, focuses on a reporter who returns to his Florida hometown to investigate a case involving a death row inmate.
