Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender will be back for the sequel to Ridley Scott's blockbuster Prometheus.
Fox Studios and Ridley Scott have confirmed a push for a sequel to the sci-fi film set in the Alien universe, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Fox is still looking for writing talents to replace Damon Lindelof, who may not be available. The former Lost scribe co-wrote the screenplay for Prometheus, although the plot was criticized for leaving too many questions unanswered.
"Ridley is incredibly excited about the movie, but we have to get it right. We can't rush it," says Fox president of production Emma Watts.
Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender will be back in the sequel as Elizabeth Shaw and the android David, respectively, and the producers hope the movie will launch in 2014 or 2015.
