The 26-year-old actor will return to his role of billionaire Eric Packer, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Pattinson's co-star Sarah Gadon, who played Elise Shifrin in the original film, is also scheduled to make a return, along with new editions including Carrie actress Julianne Moore and The Paperboy's John Cusack.
Screenwriter Bruce Wagner has penned the Maps to the Stars script, which has been described as a dark comic look at Hollywood life, and Entertainment One will finance the independent flick.
