Star Wars, Hunger Games are the most anticipated fall releases
The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 and Star Wars The Force Awakens lead the pack when it comes to the most anticipated fall movie releases. The James Bond adventure Spectre, Hotel Transylvania 2 and the Matt Damon space thriller The Martian also feature on the list.
The final entry in the Hunger Games series and the first in the new Star Wars trilogy are the most anticipated upcoming releases.
According to a survey by Piedmont Media Research, which polled 3,000 people, Hunger Games and Star Wars emerged as the most popular upcoming films, reported Variety.
On a scale of zero to 1,000, the fourth and final Hunger Games had a rating of 514, beating last summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, which had a score of 509.
The Star Wars sequel posted a rating of 495, the third best figure since Piedmont began its surveys.
It also had the best score among males with 553 rating while females’ interest level for the film was 383.
Other films that resonated strongly with audiences were Hotel Transylvania 2 with 313 and Matt Damon-Ridley Scott’s sci-fi adventure, The Martian with 255 rating.
James Bond film Spectre had 282 rating, better than its last instalment, Skyfall, which had 231.

On the lower end, fantasy epic Pan scored 205, biopic Steve Jobs logged 162, while Bradley Cooper kitchen dramedy Burnt clocked in 144.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will release on November 20, while Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit theatres on December 18.
