On Twitter, MacFarlane noted that both Neeson and recently confirmed cast member Morgan Freeman had been on the set to film this week.

Neeson, who currently stars in A Walk Among the Tombstones, played the villain in MacFarlane's A Million Ways to Die in the West, which flopped earlier this year.

Ted, released in June 2012, grossed $549.4 million worldwide. Ted 2 stars Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried.

Universal is planning to release the film on June 26, 2015.
