Bhoomi vs The Grey: Do you think it’s just a coincidence?
Bhoomi vs The Grey: Do you think it’s just a coincidence?

The first trailer for Sanjay Dutt’s comeback film, Bhoomi, was released on Thursday and has already crossed 8 million hits in its first 24 hours. The response has been mostly positive (more than 1.2 lakh likes on the trailer so far), with audiences eager to see Dutt back on the big screen after a gap of three years. But the film’s teaser poster, which featured a grizzled close-up of the actor’s face, was slightly more controversial.

Several fans accused the designers of plagiarising the poster for Liam Neeson’s 2012 film, The Grey. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha even wrote a long Facebook post on the subject, which you can read here.

While close-ups such as this aren’t extraordinary as far as posters go, here are a few that share a striking resemblance to Bhoomi’s.

The Grey

Logan

Free State of Jones

Game of Thrones (Season 6)
