A short teaser for the much-anticipated Only God Forgives has appeared on the Web.
Only God Forgives, which could be selected for the 66th Cannes Festival, heralds the reunion of actor Ryan Gosling and Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn two years after the success of Drive. The 20-second video shows a stylized nighttime immersion in the criminal Thai underworld without revealing any other details.
The film will focus on a hoodlum who has gone to Bangkok to manage a Thai boxing club.
His mother, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, will force him to put himself in harm's way to avenge his brother, who was killed by the mob. His biggest threat will be played by actor Vithaya Pansringarm (Very Bad Trip 2).
