Agriculture University predicts rain in Haryana till Saturday

In view of possibility of light to moderate rains, farmers are advised for continue transplanting of rice. Farmers are also advised to monitor the whitefly infestation in crop.

The meteorological department of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (CCSHAU) integrated agromet advisory service unit has predicted possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places in Haryana from July 12 to July 15.

While talking to Hindustan Times, Raj Singh, head of department of meteorological and agriculture department said, “The maximum temperature was likely to be between 35 and 38° Celsius and minimum between 25 and 28°C. There is a good chance of rain between Wednesday to Saturday with average wind speed from 6 to 14km per hour.”

Singh said in view of possibility of light to moderate rains, farmers are advised for continue transplanting of rice. Farmers are also advised to monitor the whitefly infestation in crop. Vegetable growers need to regular monitor and spray fertilisers as per university recommendation.
