The net worth of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s assets is Rs 67 lakh, according to a declaration made by his son on Thursday.

Chandrababu has various properties worth Rs 3.73 crore, but also bank loans of Rs 3.06 crore — taking his net worth down to just Rs 67 lakh. This was against Rs 42.4 lakh he declared in 2015 and Rs 70.69 lakh in 2014, when he took over as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
On the other hand, Chandrababu’s wife, Bhuvaneshwari, who is the managing director of the family enterprise Heritage Foods, owns assets worth Rs 33.66 crore. Son Lokesh Naidu, presently general secretary of the TDP, too is wealthier than the CM, with properties worth Rs 14.50 crore and daughter-in-law Nara Brahmani owns assets worth Rs 5.38 crore.
The Thursday declaration was the first time the Naidu family disclosed the value of assets registered in the name of Devansh Naidu, Lokesh’s 18-month old son. They are worth a whopping Rs 11.70 crore.
“We have been declaring the assets of our family voluntarily for the last six years to show that it lived by the virtues of trust and transparency,” Lokesh said. “No other family of any politician in the country has declared its assets in such a transparent manner. We hope that all the politicians follow our path and declare their assets.”
He said Heritage Foods, which was established by his father in Chittoor district 24 years ago, had been providing employment to over 10,000 people. “It has bagged several awards for corporate excellence. We have grown to this stage by grace of god,” Lokesh added.
Bhuvaneswari’s assets declined this year to Rs 25.66 crore from last year’s Rs 33.07 crore. Lokesh’s net worth grew to Rs 8.15 crore from Rs. 7.67 crore last year, while his wife also grew wealthier from Rs 4.77 crore to Rs 5.38 crore this year.
