Highlights: ED attaches assets worth ₹52.24 crore of Manish Sisodia, others in excise policy case

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) called the attachments made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday 'false.' The party's national convener and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shared old attachments, claiming that they are from before 2018. Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, while speaking to ANI on Congress party's support for the Delhi ordinance concerning officer transfers, said that the party had agreed during the Patna opposition meeting to make a decision 15 days before the start of the Parliament monsoon session.

“Congress party has sent an invitation for AAP (for opposition meet in Bengaluru), however, during the Patna opposition meet, in front of all like-minded parties, the Congress party had said that they will clear their stand on the Delhi ordinance, 15 days prior to commencement of the Parliament monsoon session...we're hoping they will do that soon and all further conversation will only happen after their formal announcement,” he said.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday attached assets worth ₹52.24 crore of former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Amandeep Singh Dhall, Rajesh Joshi, Gautam Malhotra and others in the case of Delhi excise policy case. The assets include two properties of  Sisodia and his wife Seema Sisodia, and their bank balance of ₹11 lakh.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday arrested three railways officials - Arun Kumar Mahanta (senior section engineer), Mohammad Amir Khan (section engineer) and Pappu Kumar (technician) in Odisha's Balasore train derailment probe. 

The agency says the accused persons have been arrested under sections 304 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code for “their action which led to the incident”
