CJP Parliament march LIVE: Hundreds of paramilitary personnel and police are now stationed on roundabout of Ashoka Road in Delhi. They are undertaking lathi charge to clear the area. Ashoka and Raisina roads have been largely cleared and people have even pushed back to Jantar Mantar road and Janpath.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: The National Testing Agency clarified on Monday that reports circulating on social media claiming that protestors breached security and entered the NTA building at Okhla are “completely false and baseless”.

“The situation at NTA office remains normal and peaceful. No security breach has occurred,” it said.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: Union minister shared a photo from meeting with CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka and said, “This morning, for the first time, a proposal came from the protesters to hold talks with the government, and our discussions have been ongoing since 11:50 AM.”

“The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. An initial verbal discussion was held in detail with their delegation, and they submitted a written petition to me around 4 PM. I have requested all the protesters to end their sit-in and assist the administration in restoring normalcy,” he said.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: In a post on X, Saurav Das wrote, "@AshutoshRanka and I have been at J.P. Nadda’s residence since 12 noon. The demands have been conveyed, including immediate resignation/sacking of Dharmendra Pradhan.

The Minister assured us he will discuss this at the appropriate level. However, no commitments have been made so far. The peaceful protesters will not rest until the demand is met!"

CJP Parliament march LIVE: After CJP spokesperson Saurav Dass said that founder Abhijeet Dipke was picked up by Delhi Police, the latter responded and said that “misleading reports are currently circulating on various social media platforms claiming that Abhijit Dipke has been detained by the Delhi Police.”

“It is formally clarified that these allegations are entirely false and he is available on stage,” the police said.

There has been no word from Dipke as of this update.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: Police has started lathicharge near the protest site. Tear gas shelling is also taking place outside Shangri-La hotel roundabout, some 2-3km away from the protest site. Massive build up of protesters there and the police are trying to open the roundabout.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: Lok Sabha BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Monday criticised the Opposition's Parliament disruptions and rejected the CJP's demands over the removal of ministers and officials, saying an elected government cannot be subjected to “arm-twisting”.

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, the actor-turned-politician said the primary purpose of the House is to hold meaningful discussions and ensure government accountability, not create disruptions.

“Our parliamentary session is on — so that we can discuss all issues in detail, and the government is held accountable for everything. That is its purpose, and we want the session to proceed and for them to raise their questions there, but if they create a ruckus and cause chaos there, as they are doing with this protest, then that is not right,” she said, according to news agency ANI. CJP Parliament march LIVE: A Delhi University student, Glory, told news agency PTI that Delhi Police tried to stop them multiple times during the march.

"There was heavy barricading all along the route. We also faced lathi charge and tear gas, but we will not turn back," the student said.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: In a post on X, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said that “it was only late yesterday night that DCP New Delhi reached out for opening a communication channel with government.”

“There were more serious discussions only from today 6AM, and only around 11:45AM was there an alignment on meeting Nadda ji. We finally met Nadda ji 10 mins ago and he is checking with the leadership internally wrt our demands,” he said.

“Delhi Police should immediately stop using brute force on peaceful protestors," he added.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: A video shows a man standing amid several security force jawans and asking them to beat him with batons if that's what they wanted. The security personnel are armed with batons and are wearing helmets and riot gear, while the man, dressed in a t-shirt and trousers, is empty-handed except for his phone.

In the video, the man loses his cool and is seen telling the security personnel, “maaro sir, maaro sir (beat me, sir)”. He continues to stand still while the personnel go on to beat him with batons, and then pause, before the man turns to make aggressive screams and other personnel intervene to take him away.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said that he and Ashutosh Ranka, another spokesperson of the party, met JP Nadda at his residence for 10 minutes after waiting for more than two hours.

The update was shared on X at 2.28 pm and Das said that the meeting just took place.

“While we submit a written letter with our demands, he has assured us that he will meanwhile speak internally. We are in that process. There is news of mass detention etc,” he wrote in the post.

In Ahmedabad, police detained some persons as they gathered at Law Garden since they did not have permission for the agitation, officials said, according to PTI news agency. Protests were also held in cities like Surat, Junagadh and Bhavnagar, with participants chanting slogans against union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

CJP Parliament march LIVE: Even as the CJP continued protests, union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday met union home minister Amit Shah, people familiar with the matter told HT. Shah met Pradhan at his office in the Parliament House complex, according to a report by PTI news agency.

CJP Parliament march LIVE:CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the outfit's founder Abhijeet Dipke had been “picked up” by the police amid the protest march.

“DIPKE HAS BEEN PICKED UP BY THE POLICE! WE REQUEST ALL MPs TO IMMEDIATELY STAND IN SUPPORT OF THE STUDENTS ON THE STREETS!” Das said in a post on X. The CJP too confirmed the development on its X handle.

“CJP Founder Abhijeet Dipke has been picked up by the Police from Jantar Mantar,” it said.
