Two militants killed in encounter with security forces in Kashmir’s Ganderbal

A gun battle broke out between suspected militants and security forces in Hadoora area of Ganderbal district on Tuesday morning.

An army official said that two AK rifles were recovered from the slain militants, whose identity and affiliation were yet to determined.

Based on intel regarding the presence of militants in the area, about 25 kilometres from Srinagar, a cordon was set up. As security forces closed in on their position, the militants opened fire to which the troops retaliated.
