Punjab encounter: 2 gangsters with links to Moose Wala's murder killed
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29.
Two gangsters were killed on Wednesday in an encounter with police at Cheecha Bhakna village of Amritsar district. The encounter that continued for more than four hours took place near the Attari border in Punjab. The two gangsters, with links to the killing of singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala, were said to be involved in the fight.

The encounter ensued after police received an input that the men -- Manpreet Singh alias Mannu Kusa and Jagroop Singh alias Roopa -- were hiding in the village.
Hundreds of rounds have been fired from both the sides. Some policemen have also sustain bullet injuried.

The police has cordoned off the village and people are being not allowed to go on the road leading to the farmhouse, where the gangsters were said to hiding.
The police team was led by DSP of anti-gangster task force Bikram Brar and inspector Shiv Kumar.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.
Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party last year in December ahead of the Assembly elections.
