Indigo flight status highlights: Aviation ministry orders 10% cut in airline's operations

IndiGo flight status LIVE updates: The government is planning to cut down the number of flights IndiGo operates daily in the winter season, amid the ongoing cancellations and disruptions. The airline operates 2,200 flights a day in the winter schedule. While it is not specified how many flights would be cut down, some officials said at least 100 a day could be pulled back.

“Looking at the current status of the airline, there may soon be a reduction in the daily approved IndiGo’s flight numbers for the current winter schedule operations. A final decision is yet to be taken on the number of flights to be reduced,” an aviation ministry official confirmed to HT.

IndiGo flight status LIVE updates: Several passengers were left stranded at the Ahmedabad airport this morning as 16 flights of the IndiGo airlines got cancelled. One of the passengers said that his flight to Chennai got delayed by at least 12 hours, alleging he received no satisfactory response from the airline.

“I did not have an issue while arriving, but while returning, my flight was scheduled for 2 AM on 9th December. I got a message that it has been rescheduled for 9 PM. Now I will have to wait for 12 hours here. I have been trying on the helpline for 2 days, but did not get a satisfactory response...,” ANI quoted the passenger as saying.
