Kerala Congress' deleted post on CJI Surya Kant sets off row, worker sacked after backlash
Kerala Congress's now deleted post on Chief Justice Surya Kant has kicked up a row and the party has reportedly removed from the charge the person responsible for posting the controversial remark on Monday.

KPCC president Sunny Joseph said the post was made without the knowledge, consent or consultation of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) leadership, news agency PTI reported.
"The KPCC will examine the circumstances under which such a post was made," he was quoted as saying.

The BJP slammed the Congress for the remark, a screenshot of which was shared by Union parliamentary affairs minister Kiren Rijiju, saying that the party wants “Congress wants to destroy all the constitutional and democratic institutions of India. All Anti-India gangs are joining hands,” Rijiju said in a post on X.
Kerala Congress' Joseph clarified that the party had no disagreement with regard to the impartiality of the judiciary.
Social media posts expressing views contrary to this position did not reflect the stand of the KPCC leadership, Joseph added.
What stirred the controversy
The controversial remarks from the official X handle of Kerala Congress targeted CJI Surya Kant after he said that the law and order situation was not in his domain.
“If law and order is not in your domain, resign now. We will find your replacement who can handle it,” the deleted post read.
"Ye law and order ka mudda hai. Ye mera vishay nahin hai. (This is a matter of law and order; it doesn't pertain to my domain)," Justice Kant said on Monday, when asked about the situation in view of the protests against the CEC in Delhi over the past few days and the associated restrictions, news agency PTI reported.
The CJI, however, asserted that the "doors of the Supreme Court are open for everybody," whether a commoner or a lawmaker, after he was asked how the opposition leaders can put forth their grievances after he had declined a meeting with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
