Meghalaya: Garo National Liberation Army shoot dead ‘police informer’
The incident occurred on Tuesday night and within 12 hours of the police busting a GNLA camp at Gareringdi village.

Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militants shot dead one person accusing him of being a police informer at a remote village in South Garo Hills district, police said on Wednesdau.

The incident occurred late on Tuesday night and within 12 hours of the police busting a GNLA camp at Gareringdi village in the district and gunning down one of their cadres.
“They shot dead a middle aged man near Dambuk Bazaar and left a note stating that he was a police informer,” district Superintendent of Police A T Sangma said.
Dambuk Bazaar is close to the international border with Bangladesh.
Sangma said a gunshot was heard close to midnight and police found the body early this morning.
