Twenty-eight people had a miraculous escape after a bus caught fire in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district in the early hours of Thursday.

The bus, which was on its way to Hyderabad from Bengaluru, was completely gutted in the fire. The incident took place near Enugumarri village on National Highway-44.
According to Peapully police, some passengers noticed smoke coming out from the
rear side of the bus. They immediately alerted the bus driver who stopped it and asked the passengers to get down.
“Even before the driver could conduct a check, flames erupted and engulfed the entire bus. We called the nearby fire station. By the time fire tenders arrived on the scene, the bus was completely gutted,” a police officer said.
None was injured in the incident. Police said they are trying to find out the cause of the fire.
