Ramdev says ‘don’t want to escalate’ war of words with Kangana Ranaut after ‘Gen Z, jawani' remarks row
When Ramdev was asked about Kangana Ranaut's remarks, he questioned her education and past, while criticising her description of the younger generation.
Yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Sunday sought to play down his ongoing war of words with BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, saying he did not want to escalate the matter and would refrain from making further comments.
"I don't want to escalate the matter, the country knows who is Swami Ramdev, what is my contribution, that is why I don't want to comment on such people," Ramdev told reporters.

Baba Ramdev and Kangana Ranaut on Gen Z protests
The remarks came amid a public exchange between Baba Ramdev and Kangana Ranaut that began after the actor-turned-politician made controversial comments about Gen Z and young protesters.
Ranaut had described the generation as "Generation Gutter", drawing criticism from several quarters. When Ramdev was asked about her remarks, he questioned her education and past, while criticising her description of the younger generation.
Ramdev said, “What was her childhood like? What was her youth like? What were her past accomplishments like? I don't want to talk about such people. Calling the youth ‘generation gutter’ is a sign of a corrupted mind.”

Kangana Ranaut subsequently accused Ramdev of crossing a line by commenting on her youth and private life. Hitting back at him, she said, “Baba ji don't day dream about my jawani or bedroom. One can only assume based on rumours and gossip. Atleast mujhe kabhi Supreme Court se fatkar nahi lagi for false/fraud efficacy claims (I never got scolded by the Supreme Court) based on hard facts not some gossip or assumptions.”
She added, “So don't give me character lessons. Tumse toh bahut zyada behtar hai mera character (My character is far better than yours), no fraud detected here.”
