Suspended for violence, Class 10 student shoots at principal in UP’s Bijnor
The principal was rushed to a hospital where his condition was said be out of danger, police said.
A 16-year-old class 10 student, who was rusticated from his school in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district for violence, shot and injured the principal on Thursday morning after his request to be taken back was rejected, police said.

The principal was rushed to a hospital where his condition was said be out of danger, they added.
Station officer, Syohara, Arihant Kumar said Sanjeev Kumar, principal of Shri Shine Inter College, had rusticated the student after finding he was involved in a clash.
“The rusticated boy met the principal on Thursday and apologised for his act. However, the principal refused to revoke his decision. Earlier this year, the boy was also expelled from his previous school after he failed in the board examination,” he said.
Kumar added that the boy reached home and went back to the school with a firearm which he had purchased from an unidentified person a few months ago.
“The boy opened fire on the principal while he was standing outside his office. He then tried to run away but was nabbed by the school staff and handed over to the police,” Kumar said.
He said an FIR would be lodged against him for attempt to murder and possessing an illegal firearm after which he would be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
