Telangana Assembly Election 2023 Highlights: Voter turnout of 63.9% recorded till 5 pm

Most exit polls predict an edge to the Congress in Telangana today. The exit polls were released after voting ended in the state.

While India TV-CNX predicted 63-79 seats for the Congress, 31-47 for the BRS, 2-4 for the BJP and 5-7 for the AIMIM, Jan Ki Baat forecast that the Congress would get 48-64 seats, the BRS would get 40-55, BJP 7-13 and AIMIM 4-7. Read further.

According to the data by the Election Commission, a voter turnout of 63.9% has been recorded in Telangana till 5 pm.

BJP leader K Venkata Ramana Reddy, who is coming up against the chiefs of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President (TPCC), has exuded confidence that he is going to win from Kamareddy Assembly Constituency.

“I am only looking at them (KCR and Revanth Reddy) as TRS and Congress candidates only. They are big people but I am not going to back off from fearing them,” Reddy told ANI.

Congress leader KC Venugopal expressed confidence in winning the elections in Telangana and the other four states.

"Telangana people are also saying that Congress will sweep the election...We will win all the five states. That is what the general impression is..." he told ANI.

Telangana Congress President Revanth Reddy on Thursday exuded confidence that the election result in Karnataka will be repeated in Telangana.
