100 fall ill after eating 'prasad'
An estimated 100 people fell sick after having 'prasad' at a puja in the Gosaba area of South 24 Parganas district Saturday evening.

An estimated 100 people fell sick after having 'prasad' at a puja in the Gosaba area of South 24 Parganas district Saturday evening.
Police sources said the villagers took 'khichdi' served as prasad after the puja and many of them started vomitting and complained of nausea.
About 100, several of them women and children, had to be taken to local health centre and rural hospital but all are now out of danger, sources said.
