As the Mela administration is expecting a turnout of over five crore people during the annual bathing ritual at Har-ki-Pauri, Chandi ghat and VIP ghat, 60 of the spy cameras will be installed at these places, official sources said on Saturday.

The administration has been allotted Rs 350 crore for the preparations.

The 'Shahi Snan' for Sadhus of various akharas will take place on Mahashivratri on February 12, Somvati Amavasya on March 15 and Krishnapaksha Amavasya on April 14. The Vaishnav Snan Parv will be held on March 30, they said.

The dates for the Shahi Snan were decided on Friday evening at a meeting between officials of the Mela administration and representatives of all the 13 akharas led by President of Akhara Parishad Mahant Gyan Das.

The sadhus have sought more area for the Mela in view of large number of pilgrims expected to attend.
