12 kgs IED detected and diffused in J&K

A terrorist of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit surrended before security forces in a Doda district, sources said in Jammu.

Security forces on Monday detected and diffused a 12 kg remote controlled Improvised Explosive Device on roads in Gool area of Udhampur district, a defence spokesman said in Jammu.

Based on the information of their own sources, the forces launched search on Gul-Sabla track, about two kms from Gool tehsil of Udhampur district around noon today, recovered the IED and defused it, he said.
