12 killed as truck falls on a jeep near Nagpur

As many as 12 persons, including three women, were killed on Friday when a speeding truck loaded with onions fell on a passenger-carrying jeep at Asoli village near Kuhi, about 40km from Nagpur, police said.

The truck overturned and fell on the jeep, killing 12 persons on the spot.

A man and a woman sustained serious injuries and both have been admitted to Government Medical College Hospital in Nagpur.
The truck driver had been arrested, police said.
