A grenade blast in Pattan town of northern Baramullah district in Jammu and Kashmir left 14 civilians injured on Monday.

While six of the injured people were treated in a local hospital, eight others were brought to Srinagar.
Police said that an unidentified terrorist tossed a grenade at a vehicle carrying securitymen at 12:30 am. But the grenade missed its target and hit several civilians.
BSF personnel commits suicide
In a separate incident, BSF soldier CP Nishad killed himself with his service rifle. BSF spokesperson Vikram Manhas said that the personnel was posted at Rajbhawan.
"He shot himself with his service rifle at 11:25 pm on Sunday and died instantly," Manhas said. He said that the reason behind this extreme step was not known.
