14 people killed in Tanzania bus accident

14 people were killed when a bus driver lost control of the vehicle and it turned over near Tanzania's capital Dodoma.

As many as fourteen people were killed when a bus driver lost control of the vehicle and it turned over near Tanzania's capital Dodoma, police said on Friday.

"The bus burst its right front tyre and the driver was unable to control it," the regional police commissioner said about the incident.

Eight people on the bus were killed on the spot while six others died later from their injuries. About 39 people have been injured.
