17 trains in MP suspended following Gujjar agitation

Services of as many as 17-trains have been suspended and 29-trains diverted in the Western Railway Region following the ongoing Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan.

Services of as many as 17-trains have been suspended and 29-trains diverted in the Western Railway Region following the ongoing Gujjar agitation in Madhya Pradesh's neighbouring state of Rajasthan affecting the smooth run of these trains to different destinations.

Services of 17-trains in the region including Nizamuddin-Ahmedabad, Nizamudding-Mumbai Central, Nizamuddin- Kota Express, Niamuddin-Udaipur Express and Nizamudding-Indore Intercity Express have been suspended, said a Western Railway release on Saturday said.

Other suspended trains include Dehradoon-Bandra Terminus Express, Dehradoon Express, August Kranti Express, Bandra Terminus -Dehradoon Express, Neemuch-Kota Express, Kota-Nizamuddin Shatabdi Express, Awadh Express, Golden Temple Express, Garib Rath Express, Goden Temple Mail, Mathura Junction- Sawai Madhopur and Agra-Bayana-Agra (ABM1/ABM2), it said.

Services of at least 27-major trains in the region have been diverted to facilitate transporting passengers to their respective destinations, the Western Railway said adding that services would be restored to its original route once normalcy returned or agitation ended.
