176 diagnostic centres registered in City
ONE HUNDRED and seventy six diagnostic centres offering sonography facility have been registered in Bhopal under the provisions of Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique Act 1994. Bhopal Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) informed this at a meeting of the district advisory committee here today.
ONE HUNDRED and seventy six diagnostic centres offering sonography facility have been registered in Bhopal under the provisions of Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique Act 1994. Bhopal Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) informed this at a meeting of the district advisory committee here today.
The centres registered under the Act include 15 government centres too and there are total 215 sonography machines available in all centres.
The CMHO said concerted efforts were being made to prevent female foeticide. Inspection of 165 diagnostic centres was carried out between April 2005 and November 2005 and directions were passed to maintain records of all diagnostic tests conducted there.
The government recognised centres were also being notified from time to time in compliance of government directives.
