At least two persons were killed and 21 others were injured when a minibus carrying them skidded off and rolled down a deep narrow lane in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The minibus, which was on its way to Doda, rolled down a 200 ft deep narrow lane after skidding off the road in Bagwa belt of the district this morning, said additional superintendent of police, Sanjay Sharma.
Two persons died on the spot while 21 others were injured in the accident, he added.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and immediately launched search and rescue operation, he said, adding that the bodies have been recovered and the injured taken to hospital. Five of the critically-injured passengers have been airlifted to SKIMS in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
