2 killed, 7 injured in UP train mishap

Two persons were killed and seven injured when a Delhi-bound train from Raxaul in Uttar Pradesh hit an engine between Mehal Ganj and Jungbahadur Ganj stations near Lucknow on Monday morning.

The Raxual-Delhi Satyagraha Express collided with the engine on the Sitapur-Roza Section of the Moradabad Division, killing two persons and injuring seven others, Northern Railway sources said.

The injured passengers were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Shahjenanpur. The train resumed its journey after a brief halt.
