20 cases solved at Lok Adalat

A TOTAL of 20 cases were settled at the permanent and continuing Lok Adalat organised at the High Court here on Saturday.
High Court Legal Service Cell secretary and High Court Registrar K C Sharma said that 102 cases were heard in the court of which 20 cases related to New India Insurance Company were resolved.
An amount of Rs 21.75 lakh was given to defendants in the cases. A total of 1,611 cases have been resolved and award about Rs 16.29 crore has been passed in 55 sitting of the Lok Adalat organised till now.
The next session court would be organised on February 4 in which hearing of cases of National India Insurance Company and United India Insurance Company would be done.
