The terrorists had come in two groups, with one batch entering at Khaldraman in Mendhar area and the other in Tai village, highly placed official sources said.

The total number of terrorists was estimated to be about 22, they said adding the ultras had entered after cutting the fencing along the LoC.

UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is to visit the area on June 20 to attend the inauguration of the bus service between Poonch and Rawalakot in PoK.

She is expected to see off the first batch of 30 passengers leaving from Poonch and receive people from across the border, the sources said.

In view of this development, the venue for a public meeting to be addressed by Gandhi has been shifted to the Army Ground at Poonch.
