A sub-inspector and two other personnel were wounded when terrorists hurled a grenade on Sunday night at a patrol in Baramulla town, 55 kms from Srinagar, officials said on Monday.

A security patrol at Sopore bus stand in Baramulla was similarly attacked this afternoon, causing injuries to a bystander.

In yet another incident, a security vehicle at Main Chowk Pattan, 27 kms from Srinagar, was attacked with a grenade on Sunday night, but no one was hurt, officials added.

No terrorist outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the three attacks.

Meanwhile massive security arrangements have been made and surveillance increased across the state ahead of the Independence day celebrations on Tuesday.

In Doda district on Monday, security forces foiled a plan to attack passing vehicles after they detected and defused a five-kg explosive planted on a highway.
