Three activists - Shahjahan of T R Pattinam, David of Karaikovilpathu and Pappiahan of Keezhakasakudi caused flutter at a meeting, which was organised to greet Chief Minister V Vaithilingam, on Thursday night.
Two groups of partymen locked horns with each other, abusing each other, sources added.
Chief Minister Vaithilingam said all the issues could be settled through negotiations.
The PCC leader later issued orders suspending three persons from the party under disciplinary proceedings as their behaviour at the party meeting violated the canons of discipline and caused damage to the party.
