30% polling in Goa

About 30 per cent polling was recorded for the two Lok Sabha seats in Goa which went to polls in the second phase.

About 30 per cent polling was recorded for the two Lok Sabha seats in Goa which went to polls in the second phase on Monday.

While Panaji recorded 31 per cent, in Mormugoa it was 28 per cent, Chief Election Officer of the state B S Bhalla told PTI.

Goa DIG Muktesh Chander said polling was peacefull.

Seven candidates are in the fray for Panaji seat while nine are contesting for Mormugoa. The main fight is between traditional rivals Congress-NCP combine and BJP.
